Rangers buckle under Leafs’ energy

They just keep coming back, like an old suitcase. Even Jason Blake got in the act with the tying goal. When Mitchel took the penalty half way through the third, Rangers up 2 zip, I figured that was the end. A little more than 5 minutes later the leafs had the #1 team in the league down for the count. If that wasn’t the most amazing 5:21 of hockey to watch I don’t know what was. Holy smokes.

What’s troublesome is the talent that Wilson is sitting. Last night, Jonas Frogren, Carlo Colaiacovo and Ian White all rode the pine. Ian White has done something to get into the coach’s bad books. Whatever. Players best mind their game, sooner rather than later Wilson is going to ice a squad that has so much chemistry he’s not likely to stir the pot, and some of those guys could find themselves playing with different coloured shirts on come December.

That’s 4 wins in their last 5 games and 9 of a possible 12 points in their last 6.
