Leafs lose again, gone until November
With a 5 game road trip to folow this odd week off, the Leafs have been given some grim mercy. It won’t be until November 3rd that they’re faced with being in the presence of a mounting hostility at the ACC. What with the press driving home the fact that Leafs Nation has continually had its pockets picked by ownership over the last decade for a product that has fallen well short, fans are becoming a little more vocal. Oh, they may not jump off the bandwagon, but they didn’t in the 80’s either. They just showed up wearing paper bags over their heads.
Seven losses, 32 goals against with just 14 for, and butone point to show. The #1 and #2 goalies injured. Kessel on the shelf. Dead last in a 30 team league. Welcome to the winter of our discontent.

Well maybe the road trip will take some of the heat off them. If only it were that easy … Dead last with no picks and no cap room. Doesn’t get much worse than that.

As an oilers fan, I am NOT a Burke fan and although I love to see Canadian teams win, I have to like the fact that Burke is getting the shaft.

Could be worse. Toskala could be the goaltender we’re waiting for, we could have no first line players currently with the team, and likely our most talented player could be injured. Can only get better from here.
