NO OT required for Avs

L – W – L – W – L – W – L

Seems like stringing 2 wins together is a bit of a problem for the Buds.

The Leafs play there 2nd game in a 3 games in 4 nights scenario on Friday against the Blue Jackets. The Jackets will not have played in almost a week, taking a 5 – 0 drubbing at the hands of the Wild. The schedule for the Leafs gets a little tougher shortly thereafter, with 5 games on the road, 4 in 6 nights, including the backend of a home-n-home with the Sens.

We just didn’t see the type of effort from the Leafs on Wednesday that we’ve been seeing in almost every game this season. High octane energy levels, a thirst for winning the little battles, and firing rubber at the net. None of that against the Avs.

Hey, 40 years ago today Bobby Orr played his first NHL game with the Boston Bruins. Amazing the scope of his legend with only 9 seasons played.

Speaking of amazing:

Martin Havlat is leading the scoring race.

The Wild and Sabres are still undefeated – both are 6 – 0 two weeks into the season.

The Philadelphia Flyers are in last place overall in the league. Bobby Clarke should dust off his resume.

GO LEAFS GO!!!
